As title states. Just curious on average how long y'all spend on one turn. This is an average; we've all had turns that took forever, and turns that are literally a keystroke long.

First, I don't micromanage my cities.

After that it depends if I am at war or not. If I am not at war, the turn lasts as long as it takes me to get through the tech window (if I researched something), my build windows, and to order my workers.

If I am at war, I will spend more time planning that turn's worth of manuvers. I will look at everything from health of units, proximity of enemy units, reinforcement locations, and available movements. A long turn for me might take 10 minutes.

Its hard to say,

But on average, if you take that you have to set cities, manouver your workers and soldiers, check diplomacy and then turn. It would take from 10 to 15 minutes a turn.

And that is amazing couse if you multiply that average by the average of how many turns it takes to end the game:

15 * 140 = 35 hours playing = 1 day and a half

I usually have a big empire, so 15-20 minutes I think.:D

It depends. In a peaceful game where I'm cruising down the tech tree it could be under a minute, even on a large map. If I go to war though, it could take me up to half an hour to get through a turn of modern age warfare.

even on a huge map with tons of units all over the place I don't see any reason to spend more than 20 minutes on a single turn. and I consider myself as a pretty big micromanager.

In peacetime and nothing special planned it takes 1-2 minutes... First turns maybe take 5-10 seconds. When warring, I always think what unit is best ATM to attack, how to move defences etc... sometimes city micromanagement is needed... so it takes much longer, sometimes 10 minutes per turn... so average would be 1-5minutes.

I quit when reaching renaissance - industrial.
Too tediously long turns. And every action you do less important than early on. In the beginning its very important where to send your workers or build a 2nd city. In the late game you just build a city at some random place because there is nothing left anyway.
(I should probably move up in dificulty level, but I just cant standing the cheating AI)

About the same as early game. Let computer take care of cities. I already have a goal in mind for each turn so I know specifically what I want. Wars take longer, but then again I'm less hesitant to throw troops away at this point since I have 2-3 opponents destroyed at this point. I also like that point more since my mighty empire is starting to boom hard.
