I'm brand new to FfH and I have to say I love it! I played two partial games to get the hang of things, and just finished my first full game. There is still a lot to learn, but I've got the basics down now. After just one game I'm hooked. FfH is great! I could go on and on about everything I like about it but I'm sure that would be preaching to the choir. Everything about it is fantastic...
...except the civilopedia.
It has some great atmosphere (some really good stories) and some basic information, but is short on information to help noobs learn the ropes. It basically has to function as both reference guide for the old pros who already know how everything works, and a game manual for the new players. It could use some help in the latter area.
How much longer will Fire be supported? I just d/l 0.23 and would love to help flesh out the civilopedia, most likely by editing the wiki. I have no intention of buying BtS any time soon and will continue to play Fire for that reason. However, if support for Fire is going to take a distant back seat to Ice, then my time could be better spent elsewhere (like actually playing the game, LOL). Is Fire going to be obsolete in six months, or will it still be supported a year from now?
