Ok guys, looks like I am coming back to Civ IV as V is starting to p**s me off with its bugs and stuff.

But one question I have, Civ V made it easy to install multiple mods into the game, how do you go about doing that in Civ IV?

If there are not files overlapping most mods would be as easy to merge as to dump the files into the same mod folder. But it should be mentioned that some mods are based on the BUG mod architecture and this may make things trickier. Merging BUG mods might end up being easier for a non-programmer however, as long as you follow the guidelines in the documentation.

But merging code is really a programming job in itself. You might be able to pull it off without understanding any of it, but if you fail you might as well never figure out what you did wrong. And unless you know how to use the debug log/messages you won't even know if the combined mod is really working - it could only appear to do so but really be broken. (Sucks to figure that out later.)

So the original answer is still basically right: You can't run parallel mods.

Thanks Baldyr for info, will just have to see what I can do.

All the best.
