I'm playing Civ 5 with quite a few mods and am hoping that someone out there can help me. I'm willing to do the grunt work to find the issue I'm experiencing, but need to know where to look on my PC.

OK... The issue I'm having is with harbors an seaports. With the mods that I'm using, one (?) of them I'm using is giving -1 (that right!! Negative!!) food on all sea resources if the city has a harbor and -1 (yep!! Negative agin!!) production on all sea resources if the city has a seaport. This is the opposite of what they should be doing in my humble opinion (they should, at least, provide +1 in both cases). Makes me want to NOT build them except for the advantages in trad routes and production in building ships.

Can someone tell me where to look to fix this problem (if possible)? I'm assuming that the author put a "-1" in either the "Buildings" or "Resources" folder for the mod (if such exists).

Thanks!!

Or "binary chop" them. Take half the mods out, play a test game, if problem is still there, issue is in the installed mods, if not, those are clean, so the issue is in the removed mods, so take out the half you left in and put the others back. Now repeat on the (smaller set of) installed mods. At some point you'll identify the offending mod. Using this method, up to 512 mods will take no more than 9 tries to identify the mod

OK... But where do I find the mods and how do I convert them to something where I can edit the XML (if not already!)? Thanks!!

OK... I found the mod files. Could something in the ".lua" files cause my problem? The harbor and seaport don't actually modify the food (harbor) or production (seaport), but they also don't ADD to either one as in the normal game. Actually, in viewing the "help" for these two buildings, it indicates that both harbors and seaports specifically exclude sea resources which really sucks!

Thanks for your help. I finally found my issue in a mod called "Water Tiles Enhanced". I'm not sure how adding the "-1" food (actually the harbor, I think, adds 1 gold to the resource) and "-1" production to the seaport, but this also means that any (?) water tiles without resources picked up something. This didn't make sense to me since I usually go for "God of the Sea" on water worlds to enhance coastal cities' production. Anyway, I modified the "xml" for my needs (also changing the "granary" and "stable" for some of the new sources another mod gives me!). I just have a pretty good hunch that I'd better remember what mods do what or I'll break any other "mods" game I start.
