how to edit savegames?

i played so lang at this one savegame but the ki is about to kill me soon. ok, i could start a new game but i´d really like to finish this one.

so, do you have an idea how i can edit a savegame?

Just open the save file in notepad or wordpad. It may not be very intuitive if you're not very familiar with the underside of the game, though.

What are you trying to accomplish?

notepad? i think the files is saved binary. i can´t read anything in notepad. i could open it with a hex editor but i have absolutely no idea what i have to change there.

i´d like to raise the number of troops in a city or make more money or something like this.
can someone help me?

Ah, my mistake, I was thinking of world builder saves.

At any rate, the easiest thing to do would be to open your game, go to the game menu and start world builder. You can then follow any of the world builder tutorials on these forums to figure out how to place additional troops and the like. Then simply exit world builder and continue your game.

gotyo world builder.. its defautl to open unit menu pic kthe unit and then click o na tile the unit will be placed inthe tile. Goto Edit City mode, click a city u can now add gold(up to 5000) and culture
