if a 4th age is ever added this Would be the natural evolution of the mechanic
-Seastead
I know the Town system kind of exists for this reason but there are instances where it's not even worth it to build a Town. It would also make low settlement builds a lot more possible.
- New improvement built on top of Rural Land Tiles
- Allows you to grow to tiles within a 2 tile radius of it
- These tiles can be worked
- Tiles worked here provide less happiness (to represent the empire being stretched thin)
- Adds distance to trade routes
- cannot be built adjacent to another Hamlet
-Ferry Dock
- Can be built on Rural Coast Tiles Adjacent to Land or Navigable Rivers
- Allows you to build another Ferry Dock tile adjacent to a piece of land that can claim tiles outside that range
- Provides gold
- Increases trade route range but less so than the Hamlet
- Can be build adjacent to a Hamlet but their tile increase doesn't stack

-Seastead
- Functions essentially like a Hamlet of the Sea
