how to install mods downloaded from forum to steam version of the game

hi, i downloaded i mod from the forum but in my steam installed version i dont know the location to put it. there is no folder called "mod" (or something similar)

Can someone please tell me what to do or at least tell me where to find the solution?

Go to My Documents (or Documents in Vista/7), open folder My Games, then Sid Meier's Civilization V. Mods will be under that.
