How to load save files on steam?

Hey guys, new to this forum and just went to download some of hall of fame saved games. I can save in the correct place so i can see them in the load game screen but when i try to load them up it says that it cant find mod 2.03.0003 or something, pretty much the latest patch. I only have the game through steam so i guess that the patch just isnt archeived in the same place so it wont let it load but does anyone have any experience with getting this to work?

HoF games are all played with the BUFFY mod these days, so you should install that and have it loaded before trying to load an HoF saved game.
