How to remove a Mod

I have downloaded Modern Warfare and Had troubles with it so I decided to delete it. I did everything. I deleated every file I could see and even un installed warlards and civ 4 and installed it again but I can not get it off my game or computer. Can anyone help. Any type of help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to be able to play my regular game again.
