How to trade map in C3C?

I found that I can't trade map in C3C even I got Map Making tech, what have I to do for map trading?

Maps can't be traded until navigation in C3C. Counterintuitive, I know, but...

It's to improve the realism. as the nations only had world maps during the late middle ages.

You also can't trade communications until Navigation. I think it's better in C3C. Scouting and establishing embassies is now much more important, and if you can make contact with all the civs you can play tech broker because unless you're on a pangea the other civs don't all seem to find each other until after astronomy or navigation.

that's not right. in C3C you can trade communications with printing press. not much earlier, but it does make a difference.
