When I build an aircraft, I cannot move it at all, whatever direction I try to move it, it refuses to leave the city square. The city I build the aircraft in has an airport. What can I do about this problem? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thnx in advance
! This is a newbie question ! You should have posted it accordingly.
Planes don't move like the other units. You have to push Re-base button to move the plane base to another city (with or without airport).
You can have the plane perform some missions with the other buttons.
You can also rebase in a carrier, if it is a fighter, then wake them up and click on air supperiority mission with the button and your fighter will engage ( most of the time) any attacking bomber automaticly.
If it is bomber than you can perform bombing run within a limited range ( 6 tile for normal bomber and 8 tile for stealth bomber. bombing run can weaken units to red line or destroy city improvement or kill a citizen in a city.
A bombing mission's chance of being intercepted is 50%* and is not affected by the number of fighters on Air Superiority. Fighters' intercept range is 1/2 of their operational range.
*Default value. I changed mine to 67% in the Editor. General Settings tab: Various Unit Abilities: Chance to Intercept air Missions.
