i cant play multiplayer (internet)

hi!
i have created an account to gamespyid but when i go to civ4 mulriplayer->internet option, use my account name and password and then click login, nothing happens.
what i do wrong?
i have v1.61 civ Iv and i have disabled my firewall
Any suggestions?

additional info....

i have tried to make an account through civ4 ..but the same thing happens
i put email , login name, password and repet password...tha game pauses for a moment and nothing happens (like when im trying to login)


Does anyone know what is it going wrong?
i have read the forum abouit this problem....many pepole say i have to create an 'aca through civ4 but as i have written above it doesn't work either for me.

I have the same problem. I had a friend of mine buy the game so we can play online, thn I go to log in, nothin'.
