I can't update...

mine is v1.09 , i try to update it , but the program show error "detected that no version of SM Civilization 4 "
i can find the version information in the game or control panel .
I have reinstalled it .

What can i do ?

Have you tried downloading it from the take2 website?

Uninstall it completely. Only keep your My Games folder, and to be safe put it into a .ZIP archive so it's not removed. search out Civilization 4 and deleted any traces you can of it, then reinstall it and update to 1.52 right away... don't go to 1.09.
