Okay. I'm still new to scenario creation and don't know very much about it. I'm having a little trouble with some details.

1) My current project I want playable by only three sides, not all 7 i have. Is there anyway I can do that?

2) The other 4 sides plus barbarians i want to make specific actions that are historically correct. I have an idea that it might have something to do with the "Events Editor".

3) I want the South Vietnamese and the Americans to stay allies throughout the whole thing. (dam, i blew the suprise!)
And the same for the North Vietnamese and China. Is that possible?

4) Let's say the NVA capture Hue from the South Vietnamese (like they did at one time) The US sent troops to the area and liberated the city from the NVA. In the Vietnam War, It naturally went back to South Vietnamese control. But, in the game, it would go into American control. How can I prevent the Americans from controlling the city, and having the Americans just liberate the city for the South Vietnamese?

below some other things, not questions

5) I want this as historically correct as possible, minus minor details, depending on who you are.

6) I plan on placing real events, like the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, VC attacks on Saigon, and the Ho Chi Minh Trail bombings, etc.

7) I made a map, it's pretty cool, i just gotta change the terrain a bit (mountains, hills, etc.)

8) I had some probablems with the tech tree, but i figured it out

9)each nation has it's own units, some are shared (i.e.-both USA and SV can make F-4s)

I hope all you experienced scenario makers can help me, thanks a lot.

1) All you can do is write in the readme or scenario briefing that these tribes are not recommended for play. -The player will still get the option of choosing them.

2) Yep! You can assign different triggers, like turn number/year, conquer-city, unit destroyed etc. Then assign what action occurs when this happens, units appearing, tech gained etc.

3) Keep them friendly is a somewhat difficult task... No problem keeping them aggressive! -you'd probably make them allies from the beginning, and give each tribe techs the other don't have and wants very badly. -And keep them off each others back -this will be quite difficult in your case...

4) You can't. -Try give the vietnamese units nearby, and make the americans not too strong to entirely liberate it. Then you can hope for that the vietnamese will take it back, when the americans have done the hard part of the job. Also, make sure that the city is s-vietnamese to begin with, which will make it easier for them to bribe it back into the fold, if the americans conquer it.

-An idea might be to make an event, saying, that if the US takes the city, vietnamese diplomats appear outside the city. -But this might lead to a conflict, when the Viets bribes the city, so this conflicts with objective 3).....

Your gonna have the South Vietnamese and the Americans as 2 different civs??? Uh....thats not a good idea. What cities will the US have? What cities will the S.Vietnamese have?
Use BAT Files to make its only playable for the civs you want er....i think
