Actually, it's the other way around with me. I've been playing Civ nonstop since the first one was released (as I'm sure a great many people here have), and I've won (or lost) the vast, vast majority of my games the hard way. I probably wouldn't play it at all anymore if I couldn't run the AI around like a rat in a maze, or put in created/customized additions (especially fantasy units).Originally posted by Padma
As one gets better at the game, the need/desire to cheat diminishes, and the satisfaction of beating the game on its own terms takes on more weight. But there are still times when, after a hard days work, that mopping the map with your *super-units* is just so cathartic....

hey guys, im playing conquests and the neapoelic one, how ever u spell, [ut it this way im pissed off, ive never been so into a game, i have to tell some1,right firstly, i totally destroyed the west coast of france, but was trying to destroy central for so long with no luck, sneding thousands of men to their deaths,
Gibralter, has been attacked so many times, and eventually even though i sent re-inforcements i diverted them to help my friends in italy as they were being destroyed in italy, i helped and stood out against the french in italy for as long as i could.
Eventually italy was defeated
Now back to Gibralter, after countless attacks from the french they captured it, i sent like 3 troop transports protected by around 8 ship of the lines, they got there and took it back after some fierce fighting,
Now the french have re took gibralter, everyopne is at war with me, as my allies portugal and italy (forget the name of civ so calling it italy) were destroyed by the french.
I WANT REVENGE, i sweare a long time ago i used a nuclear cheat, where u could use as many as many nukles even if u aint advanced, DOES ANY1 KNOW IT

The only cheat I know of is time travel. Go back in time and change things.
civiscoolya: Search through the forums here for something called the Civ Multi-Tool.
Start a new game, save immediately, load up the savegame in the Savegame Editor - a utility in the Multi-Tool package.
Now you can change basically everything in your game; treaties, reveal map, change gold/science/research/techs/cities/units/happiness etc etc etc for all cities in all civilizations.
You can do pretty much everything you'll ever wish with this editor
