I found a crop circle

Any ideas what this is? Metadata on the tile shows nothing....

They attempted to build a Wonder there (Mont St. Michel, probably), but were beat by someone else. When you start a Wonder, it builds a road on the tile automatically. If there is no road in the adjacent tiles, then it forms a roundabout.

If it were a city, it would have cleared the Marsh.

You're right of course. I was thinking that a razed city left the same kind of mark. I'm probably mis-remembering

That's right.

I play with this mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1284907124 and that always happens when you remove an isolated improvement

I see these a lot in my games (and yes, sometimes get them myself when I get too greedy with wonders). I call them the Circle of Shame

I'm always very amused when I see them next to stone. Go on, admit it Jadwiga, you had a cheeky crack at Stonehenge didn't you?
