I dont think its fair that Independent villages can run all over the map, and all through my cities and I cannot run through their villages without being attacked.

I have discovered how to tun off the civs so that I am only building up against one other civ at the most. Wish I could turn them all off.

Now I really need to be able to turn OFF those villages. I just want to explore the maps, thats all!!!

Also getting to the ship building In the exploration age to actually allow for ocean travel, takes way too long!!

At the start of every age I just eliminate any independent powers that I don't plan on befriending. Just build an army and disperse them, it's the easiest thing to do. All you have to do is get a unit onto the independent city and hit the disperse button...voila, the independent power is no more. Usually takes me 20-30 turns after the start of an age to get this done, depending on how many independents I want to take out and how spread out they are.
