OK, if you have Conquests (not sure bout PTW but it's not for vanilla) you might know you can reduce corruption. Well, how about changing the EPIC game so theres no corruption. It's all here in a few easy steps.

1: Open the editor and go to load.
2: Go to the main file. (Infrogrames/Civilization 3/Conquests)
3: There's a file in there called conquests and its an editor file. Open it.
4: Go to the edit rules and go to difficulty levels.
5: At the bottom of each level, there's a corruption sliber going from 0% (I use that) to a whopping 200%. Adjust the corruption to your whimsy, but be sure to do all the levells.
6: Click save as. This is important!
7: Save to anywhere but the default folder.
8: Copy the new conquests(the one you just made) into the default folder.
9: Yes, overwrite it.
10: Enjoy!

I'm sorry if everyone knew this already. Hope it helps you!!!

I think Quintillus already did that in his story and made a scenario for us to download.

Is it "conquests.biq"?do you have to back this file up before modifing it?and does the random map that you usually creates automaticly uses the biq thats in your conquest folder?

I'm not sure that you want to reduce corruption. I think I remember reading at this forum that corruption was added to the game to contain the power of the AI. Consider that corruption is likely to restrict the fast expander most. On the lower levels that will be you since you will expand faster than the AIs. So removing corruption here makes your advantage only larger. On the higher levels the AI will expand faster than you. Removing corruption there will make the AI advantage larger.

So I think that removing corruption will unbalance the game, by making the easy levels easier, and the difficult levels more difficult.

One of the main reasons Quntillus lowered corruption was to improve the AI;) .

Yup, that's it exactly.

And to the person two posts above me, you could just change the higher levels to more corruption. I do:
Cheiftan and Warlord: 0
Regent: 10
Monarch: 20
Emporer: 40
Demi-god: 60
Deity: 90
Sid: 110

He wrote the story "Conquest of the world" in the stories and tales forum.

i thought that when you tamper with the main conquest file, you don't get into the high scores anymore... and you have to do it manually

A cities goes into disorder if it has more unhappy citizens than happy ones.

You can pretty much prevent disorder almost 100% of the time by properly keeping track of happiness.
