I hope u can play against all the civ in the game, because I hate only be able to pick 7 or 8

Yup..you can play against up to 15 civs, but only on Huge maps and be prepared to be waiting a while and have long games. Average game time in those kind of games is about 3 hrs or so, especially on the harder difficulty levels, which there are six of :)

Even with a CPU of 1.5 gigs or higher, be prepared to WAIT LONG periods especially after you reach the Industrial era and beyond.

The slowness of the game even on fast new PC's has been an ongoing issue since its release.

But playing with many civs, and doing so on a real map of the Earth (not the lame ones that came with the game), is more interesting than playing on a small map against a handful of civs.

With the expansion, there will be the option to play against up to 32 civs.

You can play against all civs, but playing against 8 or so is the best way to go...I've played a Standard map against 12 and the times were just fine. Map size is the main issue for speed, not the number of civs...because each civ will just have more cities if the map size is large.

Great buy, but you might wanna see if you can get a deal on the Expansion pack AND original when it comes out in a couple of months. If not, then go for it :P

32 civs on a huge map?!?! Imagine the time that is going to take, especially if it's MP in Turnless mode? OMG!! There are going to be some mean wars going on online. And I plan to be in the middle of them all. I'm just happy that it's an XP and not a brand new game with new and better requirements. This is going to be an amazing game now, making it more of a classic than it already is
