I'm so sick and tired of the auto pathing when playing Kupe

I literally have 4 move in water, trying go move 3 tiles away in water, and it tries to go through land and stops. URGH and that's just the tip of the iceberg. You literally can never auto path settlers or other units because it won't go through water like it should. Why is this not fixed?
