I do not have an image editor installed

Can someone please convert this 1024x768 jpeg into a 800x600 bitmap? Cheers! :)

Oh, and can be it be done more than once please - I am being awkward!

I would like the option of choosing between full colour, 16-bit grayscale, and 8-bit grayscale. This is going on my antiquated laptop with limited resources so 256 grays makes some sense ;)

I miss having my PC with its stacks of software

No prob. The picture already was in 256 greyscale, so no conversion needed there. But I still scaled it down and made a hi- and true-color version. I put them all into a zip since you asked for bitmaps. (JPG is a bitmap format as well, so I guessed you meant BMP.)

Edit: I don't have any programs to change the pic to hi-color, but I didn't realise that I set the hi-color pic to 16 colors and not 16-bit. But I don't see any differences between any of the three versions, so it should be alright if your monitor can only show 256 colors.

My monitor can display true colours, but using fewer resources is better ;)

Normally I just have a blank white background (which is good for LCD) but I would like a change.

Thanks, it looks good

I do not understand how the 16bit file is larger (in bytes) than the 8bit file though

My answer is in bold. Just happy to help, though!
