Imperium Gactica - any good?

Has anyone played Imperium Galactica? Is it any good?

I have an UNOPENED copy still shrinkwrapped. Debating wether to auction it on E-bay or play it.

I have Imperium Glactica but haven't played the original I am sure that it should be pretty good though.

No offence but, stupid question
This is surely a MUST HAVE. I'm quite shocked you haven't even tried it. It's space strategy and is excellent. Imperium Galactica 2 is even more incredible. Really. And now both come in a budget bundle, I think. What a good news.

No sorry I don't play it anymore and was not very good at all at it anyway. Also my internet connection is unpredictable...

Sorry but my connection won't let me play. Until I get DSL at home, I won't be able to do anything. And generally, if I play something online, it's usually java games (chess, cards) or Blizzard games Starcraft, warcraft 2, etc..
Really sorry. But I think you can easily find playmates on any forums that are dedicated to IG2.
