Importing Custom Sponsors?

Hi, I'm making a custom sponsor mod just for fun, and was wondering how I would make a custom sponsor. I know how to make a 3D model in Blender, but I wanted to know things like the model format I'd use, the scale, the polycount, how to make animations, etc. Anyone here know how I'd go about doing those things?

Check the tutorials part of this forum first (the sub forum located at the top, just above the forum list)

Oh, sorry, that was probably a bad choice of words. I understand all of the XML work (in fact, I've already started that part and even have a custom sponsor icon working). What I'm specifically talking about is how to make the sponsor 3D model. However, from the file attributes/properties thread, I was able to figure out that meshes are in the .gr2 format. Now I just need to know what the animations are stored into, how to export a .gr2 from Blender, and then things like the safe polycount, texture size, etc.

Oh sorry I meant to link you to the art asset one as that was what I thought you meant.
You could always write your own tutorial on 3d models for civs / sponsors once you figure it out.
The art stuff isn't my thing sorry I couldn't help.

Eh, it's okay, hopefully I can figure it out from looking at the game's files. I was planning on making a tutorial of sorts if I got it working, but I'm pretty bad at explaining things, so it might not help too many people. I could go ahead and make a tutorial on what I already know, from setting up the XML up to importing a custom sponsor logo, but all of that is actually pretty easy to figure out.

In the meantime, I guess I could make a progress thread once I figure out what the sponsor benefits will be.
