THIS IS FOR CIV 3

Alright - so here's my situation.
I thought I would try something new, and I decided to have only one city until the Industrial Era. I was successful, but constant aggression forced me to expand. My culture was sufficient in my capital, Athens, so I built a city on the edge of my territory. Then when the two nations above me, (I am jammed in the middle) declared war on each other, I managed to build another city when they razed one of theirs. Eventually I built 5 cities. I still am dependent on oil and rubber from Japan, and after beating back the Romans and Aztecs I always loose my capital city. Why? Because to divert some attention from my country, I signed a mutual protection pact with Japan - which forced me into war once more with the Aztecs. This time, they captured my capital city - something I wish to avoid. Having replayed this scenario over and over the result is almost always the same.

So...what should I do?
I've tried downloading "trainers" and save game editors to build mech. infantry but none seem to work with Civ Conquests. If you happen to know any that work, please share. ;D

I would think that any OCC play would suggest staying out of wars. MPP will surely get you into wars and at your size, it will be hard to win.

There are a lot of OCC and 5CC games in the SG forum that you can use to get some idea of the way to play them.
