Inadequate power supply=problems with high end PCs

I had my machine reset itself whilst playing and it was a power fault with a 350W PSU. I had a USB device drawing way too juice and it corrupted a RAM chip. That said, 350W is fine for most mid-range systems. I just got a Antec 430W PSU which I'll install later. Anything above 480-500W is overkill imho unless you have a really top-notch graphic card running SLI.

For two months I was running a 7800 GT card with a 300W PSU but decided to upgrade to 430 just to be safe. The only difference is the new power has two fans (front and back) which help to keep my case cooler. The 430 doesn't seem to run as hot as the 300 did. I agree with Zanmato 400W PSU is enough unless you got two 7800 gt SLI running.

I just dont understand why i was able to run huge maps fine with of course the freezing at the end under patch 1.09 but now they lag horribly under 1.52. There wasnt any lagging under 1.09. It just randomly froze (which of course sucks) but i dont understand what they changed to make it not freeze but run poorly on some PCs.
