Indian needs

Hi there,

I know this is as-good-as-dead-game, but may few others are still enjoying it and care to reply here

I've found that indian are paying way better if you sell them exactly what they need. That's obvious, but you don't know what they need...

The first time you talk to the chief, he tells you what that settlement needs of.
However, afterwards the button "talk to the chief" disappears and there is no way to know what their needs are.

Plus, in time, their needs seems to change. Without notice to the human player at all.


Any ideas how to know what each indian settlement needs ?

There is a small icon to the right of the settlement's name showing what they want most.

There is also a global view available by using the display icons on the left hand side of the map screen. If you toggle on ‘Resource Display’ and then select ‘Map View’ (or use F11) you will see a global view with an option to change the information displayed to ‘Native Goods Requests’.

However, thanks 'dalgo', didn't know about that F11 hint, really helps.
