I just read that we are going to be building the military academy with our GL! Has this been polled? Why not wait for Theory of Evolution which we could get Medicine and Sanitation for free, sell it off to our neighboors for GPT. With that GPT, slide up the slider and reasearch to Motorized Transport.

Theory of Evolution is far more beneficial than the MA!

Steps
1. Trade for Theory of Evolution
2. Build Theory of Evolution(Is it still called Darwin's Voyage?)
3. Be on track for Sanitation before it is built.
4. Once we have Medicine and Sanitation trade it to our neighboors for GPT.
5. Slide the science slider up as much as possible to research MT.
6.The AI WILL NOT be able to keep up with us in research, because they are giving us GPT and because we will be getting so much of it!

Hmmm... We don't have a great leader right now. And we're not even in the industrial age yet... I think we'll have to revisit this proposal in the future when we're in the industrial age. It may turn out that we have little chance of carrying this plan out.

Dont we have Hengest? And secondly, we are right on the brink of the Industrial Ages. This needs to be decided before we make it into the Industrial ages so that we are prepared for it when the time comes. Prepare AHEAD OF TIME! ;)

"950AD, Androbius - Having rushed through the mountain chain and between the Indian holdings of Riga and Satsuma, The Knightmares arrived in Androbius to assist in the protection of this town. Little did they know how soon their assistance would be needed. In the fierce battle that followed, a great and noble leader, Hengest, rose and led our troops to victory. " - FortyJ.

Did we use him already?

Edit... Sorry exams are getting to me. Oct just reminded me that we used Hengest to construct Smiths Trading Company.

But I would like to keep this around so that if we get a GL soon we can use this or talk about it!

If we are fortunate enough to construct Darwin's Thoery of Evolution, then we would be foolish not to take advantage of the two free techs to jump ahead and attempt to construct the Hoover Dam (possibly the best Great Wonder in the game, IMHO).

The Hoover Dam would be an enourmous benefit to the civ that has it, as this world is just one big continent.

So what we'll need is two great leaders - one for theory of evolution and one for hoover dam.

Well, let's get some muskets for our knights so they can commence with the fighting and GL producing! ;)

Therein lies the difficulty. I was sincerely hoping after we are done with Ghandi and Hammurabi, we could enter some sort of building stage in a democratic government. It would be good during the middle industrial ages to build up a rail network with our increased worker speed (democracy has that affect), and build facotories, courthouses, marketplaces, and barracks. Then, once we have a sizable panzer force, go through and conquer the world...

Heres what I hope will happen:
We take Bablyon (I hope I need not remind you that Art of War and Pyramids BOTH reside there [wouldnt that be fun for us :) ])
In the process we recieve at LEAST two GLs.
We use them for ToE and Hoover. (Taking Bablyon (perhaps relocating FP to there?) and building Hoover give us free granary, hydro and baracks)
We sell the techs at a high GPT price.
We rush for Panzers and roll over anyone who pisses us off!
This has been optimisim

No, it can't.

Where is it, anyhow?

A very worthy opinion; there aren't many Wonders that even compare with the dam.

I believe our clever alliance strategy may have cost us an opportunity. Consider this:

-- 10 x 4-1 longbowmen move up next to Leningrado.
-- We kill all of them, using 5 cav, each attacking twice from behind the walls, winning every time.
-- Each cav becomes elite (it's pretty much automatic)
-- A second stack of 10 x 4-1 longbowmen move up to Leningrado.
-- Our elite cav units get 10 shots at the RNG for a great leader.

Let's wave twenty-dollar bills at them so they head our way!

Oooh, right. Only tanks get the second attack.

Hey, so we use twice the number of cavs. Plenty to spare. We're as overhorsed as the Rooshians back in 19 an' 14.

Our Forbidden Palace is secretly located in Kyoto. Please do not let this information fall into enemy hands.
My lips are sealed.

Clever of you to build it out of ears and stalks of corn. That goes over well out in the western farm country.

You need not worry about those longbowmen. During the last turn chat, they turned around and started to attack the English. Heck, we don't even know where they are.

On another note, does anyone know our state of relations with France? iirc, We don't have an RoP or MA with them, yet their cavalry have entered our territory near Strider's Haven....
