I nearly always play as the egyptians for the industrial-religious traits, and now I'm curious how balanced out the industrial trait really is in Conquest.

I already read that workers aren't the überworkers anymore that they were previously, kinda sucks but at the same time it makes playing as a non-industrial civ more attractive, always a very good thing, but maybe additional modifications have been made?
 
Nope. AFAIK the only change to Industrial is to give them a 75% worker rate bonus instead of a 100% bonus.

This means roads will still take 2 turns for a 'normal' Industrial worker, but Irrigation will take 3 (instead of 2), etc.
