Installation Impossible!!

Hi all,
I am a noobie here,so please don´t be too harsh if I made a mistake in reg. to topic or whatever.
I bought Civ IV seven days ago,but find myself ever since then unable to install the game.Right after the language menu pops up there is always this error produced:

History of this:I tried to install a image of this game prior to my buying the original.I used and installed almost any common tool to get the thing started
(Alkohol,DaemonTools,Anti....),but already there the image produced the same error.So this error is evoked by my stupid installations,so far I am on point,but after really searching the registry and killing all obvious entries there must still be a secret one?????
Maybe anyone can help me????

did you try installing the english version instead of german?
if yes, same error?

yeah,same thing.I wonder if I should return the game and forget about Civ IV...

This is a bit confusing, am I understanding you correctly...

The error you get now when you try to install the game is the same error that you got before when you tried to run the game after installing?

No,it must indeed be confusing!
The game has never been able to get installed on my machine!I tried to install from an image first,but the error I receive now with an original already popped up when trying with the image....he always says there be a 2nd instance of installation running which I should close first,but there isn´t one I could find.
Considering this DVD as a product is impossible to me,I am already thinking about suing those phukks.I paid but can´t use it,what t.. f...
Sorry for my language,but it really pisses me off!!!

I have the same problem on a top of the line laptop. POS game won't install.
