Installing COnquests Patch 1.22

I performed a fresh install in order of:

1) Civ III
2) Play the World
3) Civ III Conquests

Then I applied the Civ III patch 1.22 and it works like a charm. My question is should I have applied any of the previous patches for Civ III (1.29) or Play the World?

The game runs fine, and I don't see any reason to alter it unless I am missing some of the benefits of the previous patches.

One would think this final 1.22 would incorporate all of these into the Conquests game. I mean why would you play the others once you have the final version.

When you install Conquests it automatically updates CivIII to v1.29 and PTW to v1.27.

not necessarily, but it depends where you buy it, in the UK it's necessary to patch manually

Just curious, why did you install PTW again? You don't need PTW for C3C.

I installed 1.22 over 1.15. Didn't see any problems.... nothing five minutes in the editor didn't fix.
