This thread is a posting place for all instructions so that the President can have all the instructions in one place. This will not be a discussion thread, please use the relevant ministerial thread for that.

All right – after our glorious president takes this turn (20) – I'll be officially assuming office.

I hope to see all of you make regular use of this thread to pass your turn instructions on to me.

I will of course still be visiting all the other threads as much as I can – but I'd really like to see us get in the habit of consolidating our turn orders in one place. I believe this will become much more important as our empire grows and we have more to manage.

Next turn I will also be launching my "State of the Empire" thread to keep the whole team – but mostly the Ministers – informed on what I'm doing each turn.

Looking forward to working with all of you.

Lastly: I'd like to remind all citizens to restrict discussion of moves to other threads – so that this thread can be kept clear for the ministers to post their orders only.

Northern Warrior is to head north to see the marsh lands.

Western Warrior is to try and lure the Barbs away from any cities, because I have a felling they might want to visit them.

Units: We need to start to build a few more warriors, firstly for protection and hppieness, and also for more scouting.

I am hesitant to enter a building under construction ... all the dust and dirt is just not good for the old toga ... and all the banging and noise ... and the crude vulgarities from the task masters and screams from the lazy slaves being motivated ... it is all too much ...

I therefore await a Hazard Management Report from our Domestic Minister to ensure that all occupational health and safety issues have been addressed ... Oh and I for one do not feel comfortable wearing a protective head gear, and I would think that judging by the naked scaffolding that the Acropolis is a Hard Helmed Area ...

3) The Domestic Minister shall be responsible for settlement, sliders,
research, wonders, and government changes, and all duties and powers
affecting the economy not specified to other leaders.

At risk of being completely obvious, the luxury slider should be at whatever is necessary to prevent riots in any city without using any specialists. The science slider should be at the maximum given the necessary luxury slider (except when we are close to completing a research project, and science can be lowered without losing time). Once Iron Working is complete, we should start The Wheel.

Although workers are not directly part of my portfolio, I would suggest that a couple bonus grasslands around Athens be mined as quickly as possible. The plan was to have Athens run as a 6-turn settler + warrior factory from size 3 to 5. In order to do this, we need 2 of the bonus grasslands mined.

I will give directions on where the next town is to be founded after consulting with the citizens.

I really like the format of the "State of the Empire" thread ... easy to read and informative ... maybe have a zoom out map with grid ... that way you will fit everything in (well atm anyway) and then closeups where action is ...

I guess due to security the attach command is used ... which unfortunately means one image per post if you want it displayed ...

Any thoughts of other secure locations where jpegs can be DLed and then the image paste command can be utilized which will result in multi-picture summary post ???

So I can post images without them being on the CivFanatics server.
Does anyone know of any problem/security flaw in doing it this way?

It was my plan (perhaps ill concieved?) to keep my presidential updates and screenshots located in the "State of the Empire (Turn Update)" thread, and leave the "save information" thread for other citizens who would like to look at the turn and highlight other areas of interest.

I can post in both, if that's what the people desire!

oh ok (forgot about that there state of the empire thread) i was only saying this because you never gave a screen shot of the sugar, ivory and fish spot with a river and hill... thats all and i think we (or rather you since your the president) should name the west coast officially the ivory coast (for easy reference of course)

I'd prefer to needing to go to too many places ... I like your format ... it informs us about everything done and discovered that turn ...

then add the Looking Glass which is basically an archive of international comparisons and (how we stand before the turn is taken) ...

Both Threads will give the big picture standing of our team internally and externally

@ Kentharu - Know that I am taking your point about more screenshots to heart! With the new image uploading service I'm using, I'll be able to add a lot more screenies with ease.
