Intel (R) 82852/82855 GM/GME can it run the game?

Before the patch I could play the game without being able to see somw graphics and with the black terrain.
Now I do get see the graphics but the game continuously goes ¨black¨on me and I can only retrieve by going to desktop and back....number of times per turn...impossible to do....but it crashes sometimes completely saying the graphics driver stopped funcioning...crashes the whole computer actually.

Any way I can update the drivers or something? Or download some extra patch, adjust somehow graphics or can I turn some features off or something?

All help very appreciated.

i am trying to run it on an LG laptop, the rest of the requirements, memory, hardisk..etc..are Ok for sure.

You can try updating drivers but I doubt it will help.

I got a 3yrs old Intel Centrino 1.4GHz with 512 MB RAM and exactly the same graphics card. I'm using the latest patch. The game is quite playable... with some limitations.

I've disabled audio (EnableAudio=0), movies (ingame and intro), 1024x768 resolution, windowed mode (my preference), low details. SetMaxFrameRate=30. Maps up to standard run OK. Crashes are really rare. (For Warlords, the crashes are slightly more common. But still OK.) For some reason, the FantasyRealm map script constantly gives me black terrain. Rest of the maps display correctly (except of minor glitches like missing cows, minimap blackened, etc.).

You should thoroughly edit your ini file and switch off everything that you can live without (movies, sounds). And in the in-game options, do the same.
