Inteligence Directorate

One thing that I've noticed is that we don't have an inteligence directorate.??

Why not, inteligence is one of the things that you need most to succsesfully attack and take a hostile city, you can get troop locations, steal technologies, all that good stuff. All for a little bit of cash. In my opinion an Inteligence Directorate is sorely needed.

In Civ4 they need to make the inteligence buisness better, with COS's running agents and intercepts, stuff like that, then it would be REALLY fun.

im a guy that strongly supports the Spy factor in any operation, without inteligence, soo many more wars would've been lost. It really is quite important.

Welcome to the demogame and to the CFC forums. Discussions of this nature should probably be held in the Citizen's forum.

A friendly mod can move this discussion.

As for the point of the discussion. This is an interesting idea. I'm not sure it needs to be an elected position, but someone who would guide discussions on budget and choices for city investigations isn't a bad idea.

I'm not sure about an office for this. As Moth said, a subgroup is sufficient to push to obtain the info and shape what we've got it into a presentable form.

The military is setting up its own intelligence office. It can't do any game actions though, only collect data.

The External Consul has responsibility for intelligence, at least the kind which takes money. It would also be possible for someone to gather visual intel such as the type of terrain surrounding foreign cities to get a feel for their fully improved max population and shield production..

im quiet sorry for posting it in the wrong place, but if possible i would like to help set-up a small part of the inetigence directorate, that would be a nice goal fufilled, i look forward to serving Fanatica with the best of my skills. (Which mostly are gathering analizing and using inteligence effectivley, it is one of the skills i have, getting info and taking it for what it's worth, it;s quiet fun sometimes too)
