It has for quite some while irked me that it is not possible to intercept air units while they are rebasing to another city or carrier. I feel as though a plane in the air is a plane in the air, and so subject to being shot down by enemy fighters, or even AA units if they should be in range. I also feel that the range requirement for at least this sort of interception should range to any point along the path of the rebasing aircraft, instead of the stricter requirement of range to the destination. Thoughts?

I agree, if your rebase run you over a city that you are at war with, there should be a chance that it is intercepted.

I am just trying to think of a way to allow the player to route their flights around the enemy city outside of enemy radius to allow for protected flights- but have not found an easy way.

(Maybe a red colored cells will notify you if you are flying through suspected interception zones?)

Everything I wrote should also apply to relocating units by air, too.

When you say relocating units by air, do you mean airlifting them using an airport, dropping paratroopers, both, or something else?
