Hey all. I started playing FFH2 yesterday (as a result I got little sleep and Im tired today). Probably like most new players I was initially confused by the magic system. After a while I seemed to get the hang of it but a few thing still seemed off.

Firstly Entropy1 was empty, I didn't get the wither spell. I cant remember specific names but I was playing the shiny white elven race (elohim?) and had the Leaf religion.

The main thing I wanted to sort out was that I was getting very confused with what mana nodes I had put down and was wishing there was an easy way I could see. I then read in the wiki that they are meant to be listed on the right hand side of the screen and there were other custom buttons on the interface for FFH2. My interface is still just the standard Civ4 interface, have I installed wrong or am I just missing something?

Thank in advance.

Yes, that wiki entry refers to the latest vanilla version. The BtS version you have has had the PLE buttons cut (sticky text problem) and the Mana indicator hasn't been added yet. *coughinyourversioncough*

As for Entropy, if you had an adept unit (not a priest) and entropy mana and promoted the adept to entropy one, he should have had a spell, post a picture if not.

I checked in the game civilopedia/mouseover for the promotion and the XML files, and found no Entropy1 spell.

It seems odd that I never noticed this until he mentioned it, but I tend to avoid entropy mana (especially after I decided to let ritualists upgrade to Archmages, letting them cast almost any spell in the game ;) Of course, I did give Balors 2 entropy affinity and I just changed Defile to increase nearby tiles plot counter (spreading hell terrain), so that may start using it more soon)

Your mana appears in the list of resources shown on the city screen.
