Interfacing with Civilization4.exe from another program?

Is there a way to interface with the Civilization4.exe program from an outside program?

Alright, I've searched by hand and couldn't find anything. Anyone know if this can be done at all?

I've got my reasons. My question to you is why wouldn't I want to do that?

Just wanted to know how much control you need. You could always get away with forcing mouse clicks and keystrokes, but making the game do something it normally doesn't could be a lot harder.

Oh yea, that so would not work for what I wanted to do... besides, who would want to do all that scripting. Ick.

Anyone have any knowledge on this subject?
