I wish there was a REALLY high promotion we could aim for that was like Rambo:lol:
An invincible unit that could wreak havok on an enemy...

...and it would have a cool animation !!

Well, you're either 10 years old or mentally defective (or on drugs). Your ideas won't find too much favour around here.

Maybe a useful Special Forces Unit would do the job. West Point could be prequert to build that unit, and yyou build only 3 of them.

Quickly, someome post that screenshot of the Cho-Ko-Nu someome managed to get a dozen or so promotions on.

Or a Terminator!
Or an Alien!
Or that thing from Ezekiel, with the four faces and such.

But seriously, 'invincable' units are dull. Fun to watch, sure! Fun to play? Not.

It would be cool to have a 'terrifying reputation' promotion: only level 7 units or higher can get it, and it gives enemys a 50% chance of fleeing immediately when you attack them (which would be handy when attacking heavily fortified cities I suppose).

I did not find the thread but if I remember correctly in the creation and customisation forum there was some post on a chuck norris unit

Chuck Norris .... lol ...... lol ......... Chuck Norris!:goodjob:

The Goliath Effect? lol!

Hey oob! Are you from SiP or StP forums?

So, according to your premise you are insulting someone who may be either 10 years old or mentally defective, (or on drugs) and in doing so your comment is worth listening to? I would much more welcome an absurd and possibly humorous comment than one that seeks to degrade someone else with useless name calling.

The post is dumb, true. But you have to admire the nick! Sargent Slaughter, that's great! By the way, anyone who uses a G.I. Joe character as their nick obviously can't be 10 years old. He wouldn't have been alive when the show was playing on TV!

Edit : Unless they made a new series recently that i wasn't aware of.

Reminds me of Tanya from Red Alerts. Good old days. :)

Once I watched my friend play. He had about 20 Tanya when the enemy has only 1 Ore truck left. He ordered all Tanya to shoot at the Ore truck. The Tanyas made a circle, surrounding the truck.

Upon the Ore truck's explosion, all the bullets from Tanyas pass through the now-emptiness, and hit the Tanya on the opposite side of the circle. All Tanyas turned into flesh and blood on the ground, in a collective, successive scream! That was my best memory from any RTS game.

It looks like the expansion pack "Warlords" will feature a Strong Military leader/unit that can turn the tide of a battle, although I'm sure this unit won't be invincible it appears to be a tough opponent!
Civilization IV: Warlords, the expansion "pays homage to some of history's greatest military leaders." Though no Hannibals, Khans, Napoleons, Lees, Rommels, Pattons, or Schwarzkopfs were mentioned, the game promises the introduction of new Warlord units that will help turn the tide of battle in players' favor.

That didn't happen. They mechanics of c&c wouldn't allow it. The last bullets would have hit the floor where the ore truck was.

Well a few people got my joke.
I want to be able in the expantion to play Gengis Khan on the battlefield !
He was suppossed to be huge and tremendously feared in battle and he boiled his rival mongol leaders alive. Also he didn't bathe so people would actually run from him. :D

Think about the balance issue and the hang-up when 2 Rambo's fight ;)

I have a simple solution. When that happens, the world is destroyed by the sheer power of both sides. :p
