My parents bought me CivV as a birthday present, and yesterday was my birthday!
So, after many days of waiting, I can finally start playing CivV (or so I thought).
I have the same intro crashing bug that seems to keep popping up, but I have seen the fix on how to skip it, and I am going to apply it after I typed this. That is not my question however, its this:
There are already 2 patches availble (on a side note: do these fix the intro crash?) but Steam doesnt seem to update my CivV. I have tried restarting everything (from steam to Windows) but I do not get a notification that its being updated. I also cant find it under downloads. Is this common? Do i actually need to play the game first? (tried to start it a few times, but as said: cant get past the intro)
Are they actually worth it (the updates I mean, good fixes?)?
