is a map script like this possible? and where to start.

is it possible to have a mapscript that raises and lowers the ocean and rivers? kinda like the game killer global warming does with killing off all the food production? what i would like is a script that starts out with the amount of ocean and rivers. then gradualy threw out the ages the rivers dissapear as the ocean raises depending on how the civ's play. like if the polution is massive a sort of global warming starts and the ocean raises and lakes dry up. but it doesnt kill every thing just the area's around the polution. but oceans raise all over if the polution is fixed the map starts going back to the original state. + or - a few rivers.

if this is possible and some one could do this that would be awsome if not point me in the right direction so i can learn.
 
That isn't a map script situation.

Map scripts only create the initial conditions, and by the time you are actually in the game it does nothing further.
