I havent play this game for 2 years. With PTW and the new patches, is the air units and bombs still useless? Air units should be the backbone of any military formation. (look at the usa military fleet).
What do you mean useless, if you mean the fighters now actually conduct air superiority then yes that has been fixed, and I've never had much trouble with bombers
they can dominate the game to a certain extent however you always need combined arms in order to win a battle, but if you know how to effectivly use an air force then yes they can dominate the game
Nukes always seem like a bad idea to me because everyone hates you when you do it. Once, I was playing a game as America and was playing against germany, england, aztecs, and iroqouis. I already won, but I built an ICMB after 2050. I never used it before and lobbed it onto the Aztecs capital city. England hated me, the Aztecs were too stupified to do anything, Germany declared war on me, and the iroquois took away my wines and silks. Hrmph. When is there an appropriate time to use nukes? (So controversial in real life too. )

I launched 79 ICBM's at China and Rome then the world declared war on me so I launched 2 ICBM's at Russia and one at India and 2 at America. Then the other countries retalied and destroyed half my army but I only lost 2 cities though( to nukes).
