Is aircraft animation faster in new patch???

I wonder did they solved problem with aircraft animation speed,specialy with problem when attacking submarines and carriers with air units.Do I need FasterAircrafAnimation mod after new patch???
 
If you don't see something in the patch notes, I would assume it's not in the patch.
 
I dont need philosophy guys.I am started new game and I want to know do I need FasterAircraftAnimation mod or not.Can someone who is at late game time tell me about aircraft speed???

They have, by their own admission, forgotten to list changes in patch notes before.

I also hope the aircraft animation is fixed. It is SOOOO annoying with bombers attacking again, and again, and again, etc. However, I'm not holding my breath. They've overlooked it on plenty of patches before this one.

Sure, it's not unusual for patch notes to be incorrect. Still, I'd assume that if it's not listed in the patch notes, it's not in the patch, until and unless evidence presents otherwise.

Guess no one knows yet. You`ll save more time just playing the game and finding out for yourself.
 
No, I'm pretty sure they aren't. Just finished a game and GW Bomber animation still takes AGES!
 
I don't find that to be a problem.
That will differ from person to person, though. I'm the same as Quineloe, I like having animations because it helps me figure out what happens during combat (and because it looks nice), but I hate that aircraft animations take so long, particularly (GW) Bombers.
 
Maybe the bombers should fade out after attacking - just like the transporter from paratroopers.

This isn't as immersive as the current animation for sure! But maybe it would speed up the animation time enough to be bearable. An option, that could be switche (ideally during a running game) would be best, imo.
 
By far the best combat animations for planes was in civ 3. It was a quick 'whoosh' and boom. Lasted about 1-2 seconds, and at the start of a fight against an AI with a big airforce, was actually very exciting. The animation in 5 is all wrong, and pretty terrible to be fair.

I usually play with combat animations on for the first half of the game, then turn them off at flight for this very reason (play on immortal). Ill never forget when Monty attacked me having geared up for war for ages (combat animation on, albeit accidentally). he had about 15-20 bombers. I had to watch every single one of them bomb me whilst my fighters intercepted. It was long, painfully slow, and pretty soul destroying.
 
its a big problem so they should have fixed the flights alonge time ago so i dont think its going to be fixed in civ 5. its fun to watch 50 planes attacking forever ha ha..
I also find this in the fall patch. New stacking limits on air units in cities. Starts at 6; increased to 10 when you add an Airport. can we only have 10 planes in a city now? well that will not give mutch power
 
Its hard to imagine how the devs thought the animations were suitable.
They're far too long.

Next best would be a mod that slows the time on screen for the messages, or that means we can access them for a look if we need it.

Anyone know a mnd that does that ?

I'm aware of it. Unfortunately, I can't earn achievements when using mods...

I enjoy watching short animations when my units attack or are attacked. I'm fine with the speed of all the animations except when aircraft keep circling around and attacking multiple times before returning to their base.
