They're selling the original Civ game with the box and manual. Looks good, but I want to be sure I'm buying from a legitimate source.

I would think so, but I can't tell you with 100% certainty. One thing I usually do when dealing with a new business is to google their name. If they have been conducting any scams, you will probably find multiple complaint listings online. There may be dissatisfied customers, but don't mix those up with the ones that are really letting the world know about something illegal.

But really, how many people will they be able to scam by selling an inexpensive game with 15 year old graphics for an operating system that hasn't existed for 12 years? So by reasoning, they must be legit.

Good find, so long as its the original big box packaged PC version that they are supplying.

Along with the Civ1 Atari ST version, its one of the only things I need to complete my all-formats Civ collection, thanks for posting! :)

With regard to whether they are trustworthy or not, I trust them because they list their address on the site, and besides, using a credit card you are often protected from online fraud.

@Turner - they are chargin $9.99 for the retail box version, $4.99 for a jewel cased version (which i never saw in the shops over here, perhaps that was a US thing.

Im slightly concerned they say that the big box retail version only contains a 'small manual' in the box with a full PDF manual on the CD - this is not how my Amiga version is, that has a massive 100+pp manual.

Ive asked them to confirm its the original and not a re-release, if it is the original I'll be ordering from them.
