I was just wondering something....is Civ3 any different on a MAC than on a regular old, Windows or PC? I don't know exactly why I'm asking this, but all you MAC users, please answer. You probably have friends that play Civ3 on a Pc, don't you?
THANK YOU ANYONE THAT ANSWERED TO THIS THREAD, EVEN IF YOUR ANSWER WAS NONSENSE WORDS!

Hmm, I play it on a Toshiba laptop and an eMac. I have to say, its much easier on the eyes when playing it on my mac. Other than that, no difference IMHO, except that I've Conquests for my laptop, but stuck on Civ3 w/ my mac.

Civ3 Mac has no 1.29 editor, and there was something about a memory leak (?) on the PC version that was caught on the Mac port... Aside from that, nothing, really.

Quartz text rendering makes the Mac version look a lot nicer, IMHO. :) I'd also like to think that the Mac editor is visually more appealing than the PC editor, but that's strictly a matter of opinion.

Whre do u get the editor. I dont see it for me.

Here.

But, it is only operational if your Civ3 game is patched to 1.21g. If you've upgraded to 1.29 beta 2, then the editor is ineffective. I've made another install of Civ3 (patched to 1.21g) so I can fiddle w/ the editor now and then.

Here is the Link to the 1.29b2 patch. The "official" 1.29 patch is not approved yet, but this edition is basiclly identical.
