Sometimes experienced players lose the excitement of playing and every game seems the same.

Here are some initial settings I found that make an interesting game:

Difficulty: diety [or lower if you need it]
Map: continents and islands
Resources: standard [or sparse for more conflict]
Natural wonders: only select those with science or production bonuses
World age: std
World temp: cold
Rain: std
Sea Level: high
Number of AI civs: 4
City states: 0
Win: science and domination

What does this do? AI's build lots of cities and really crank up the science even more. Like above 500/turn by turn 170. AI's will not hold back attacking. They build lots of spaceports so can't ignore space development. The map makes the game more than a land only unit play as need some navy. The small number of AI's allows you time to play a couple of different ways. The natural wonder limitation gives you boosts, but also gives the AI's a leg up. Player beware.

I'll be curious if anyone else enjoys these settings.

Although those look like interesting settings I am not really a all on out war kind a player.
That being said in my current deity game I am being the warmonger in chief:lol: Kupe in deity on an islands map on epic speed has been fun and way more easier than I thought, my expectations was punishment or being at the bottom of every race, which I was until the Renaissance:) Sure had to re-roll the map a few times because the game insisted on putting my settler near sub par islands or plain icecaps (gave up on re-rolling the last time and just sailed north, my capital island is great:cool:) and my only egregious reload was for religion (raised the money to get it at the last turn...some people restart for iron or horses I do it for religion...its not cheating:p
So...Civ 6 is not too boring, unless that's all you play. Nowadays I play 2 or 3 sessions in a row then I take a break of 2 or 3 months playing other games.
