Or is the Mac OS X style incredibley slow?

I switched from Dark Blue to Mac OS X when I saw a couple of screenshots of it. It's great (especially because the quick reply you can get emotiocons)

Only trouble is that it takes twice as long to load up a page wheras other styles.

I'm guessing because it's a high-resolution style and because I'm running XP

Reading your post, I switched from Mac OS X style to Dark Blue, loaded some pages and returned to Mac OS X style. I see no difference in speed.

PS: I use am Mac with OS X!
