Is it possible to win Middle age Conquest by domination?

I've played this (excellent) Conquest two times at emperor level, and tryed to win by domination : "only" 25% of the map must be conquered.

But, the snag is that i have reached a victory point victory each time before the 25% of the map .

In my first play, i had the byzantins : I have reached the 30 000 victory points 20 turns before the limit (19% of the map). However, i have made several mistakes, some wars took me a long time, and so on.

But in my second play, with the french, i don't see how i could have played better. I have invaded with tiny losses Deutsland, Cordou, Castille before the 30 000 victory points limit (~50 turns before end). I could have easily invaded England, Danmark, Bulgaria... But the scenario ended.

Did someone win this conquest (at emperor level) by domination, before reaching the 30 000 victory points? With what civilizations?

grs...those are Napaleonic Wars that were won by domination.

As I recall, when the Realms Beyond crew tried to get Domination on the Middle Ages map (Kiev Rus, as memory serves), they "only" achieved a VP win.

I'm sure it's possible on lower difficulty levels (fewer units and smaller cities leads to slow VP gain), but I honestly don't know about Emperor (or higher). My best guess is Emperor is barely doable with a Viking civ and REALLY early gains, but that's a guess.

I've done it on Emperor as the Danes. What you do is kill as many civs as possible in very few turns (via RoP rape if necessary), then settle the empty region like mad. The Danes are by far the easiest for it, since they have Berserkers, are near a lot of other civs and are on the mainland.
