Is there a mod to change the size/appearance of city centers on the mini map?

Particularly to make them smaller like in Civ V, and not those huge squares. I'm playing on a fairly small screen and the whole thing just turns into a sloppy mess, totally unhelpful. Even an adjustment to the game files that I could make myself would work - I could have sworn I saw someone post something about this a few days ago but now I can't find it.
