Is there a way to wake up a stack? (I'm embarrased to ask this)

It seems so freaking obvious to me that this must be in the game somehow, but... where? Oh geez, I've played this thing since release and I can't believe I'm asking this. But I just can't stand it anymore, am I the only one who feels the Emperor has no clothes!?!?!?

What are you asking?

How do you wake up a stack or are you the only one who feels the emporer is naked?

Firaxis has no clothes. That's for sure.

There is no way to wake up a stack of fortified units; you have to do it individually - which makes the tedium of Modern war almost unendurable. And I'm not sure about the "almost" in that sentence either.

In the rightclick popup hold down Shift and click on each unit you want to activate.
