I had researched whole Tech Tree ... and game was keep refusing to reveal the Smart Materials tech in order to let AI steal the victory. I had also space project engineers to complete Exoplanet Expedition instantly. Well we all love that AI is challenging now... but if you manage to beat it; game shouldnt rig the game to make you loose either way.

how can you call it whole tech tree if you hadn't got Smart Materials yet tho
Smart Materials is a hidden future tech that gets revealed while you completing tech tree. Well game wasnt revealing it.

Some more info would be helpful... What do you mean "keep refusing to reveal the Smart Materials tech"? Tech Shuffle mode? Do you have a screenshot? Or even better a save you could post in the bug forum?
No, I wasnt playing tech shuffle mode. I had completed the Tech Tree... but the Smart Materials tech was nowhere and I was researching Future Tech for several turns. It finally got revealed when AI secured the victory. I dont have "saves" ..I uninstalled the game.

OP, without a single piece of any tangible evidence in the form of at least a screenshot or even better - a save file (to say nothing of any mods you might've been using - this should always be mentioned first of all), this information is not worth much?
Besides, we're all only human and can suffer from momentous targeted blindness, when we can't see what's in our face. Are you sure you did not miss something? :)

Sounds like a mod conflict or something. I've never heard of the tech tree just not showing something.
Smart Materials is normally a hidden tech that gets revealed while you completing late stages of tech tree; isnt it? I use no mods.

I use no mods. There was only Future tech in the tech tree. Why should I come here and say lies?

Since OP would likely not provide evidence to support his claim......

Sometimes, a shuffled tech tree (which Future Era always is) will have techs not on the path to Future Tech. Worse, it can occasionally glitch and overlap with another tech on the tree (although I've never seen that in months).
Have you tried clickin the Choose Research button in the bottom right when finishing FT? sometimes it might reveal some other tech.
Repeatedly completing FT will not help you reveal more branches in the tree.

Even if you simply uninstalled, some manual save files might still be in your computer. Manual saves usually are in Documents>My Games>Sid Meier's Civilization>Saves>Single, they might be still remaining there.

It's not about lying, I don't think anyone is saying that you are lying. There is always space for mistakes - I've seen very intelligent people be absolutely adamant about something that later turned out to be wrong because of a very simple mistake. That the first thing you claimed was that the game was cheating, rather than a bug or a mistake, only reinforces the idea that it's probably a mistake.

As for why it is not unlocking, it's either that you've thought that you'd researched one of the prerequisites when you hadn't, or it's a bug. Without a screenshot or game save, no one can tell what the issue actually is. It's not something that I've heard of before outside of making a mistake on what the prerequisites were and so not unlocking the desired technology, or an issue they had of techs being put on top of each other in Shuffle Texh/Civic Tree.

You haven't described what's actually happening very well. Is the box just not there? Or is it there but not revealing what it says? If the latter, what happens when you try to research it? Is it just Smart Materials, or are the other future techs not being revealed either? What about Civics? There are just a lot of variables here that you haven't described that are essential to know what is happening.

I know there is a UI bug in tech and civic shuffle mode where the randomising of the tech tree can cause two techs to appear in the same space of the tech tree, one directly on top of another. So one tech is completely hidden under the other.

I'm wondering if this can happen with the future era techs in normal games, but it's not something I've seen personally outside of the tech and civic shuffle game mode. As others have said, we can't really draw any conclusions without a save.

I wouldn't put it past, it's probably rare, but possible.

But even so, the tech SHOULD be selectable in the Tech Chooser that pops up on the left side.
