It would be fun if we could play as the barbarians.

There was a scenario for Civ IV: Warlords where you could play as the barbarians, but I mean something in regular civilization games, rather than mods/scenarios.

One player can choose to play as the barbarians, and it is actually possible for the barbarians to win. By wiping out all the civs or getting the highest score or something. Anyone think it would be cool?

Could be interesting as a scenario, although we kind of have something similar with Red Death. Idunno, I have different ideas I'd rather be implemented, such as a couple primitive "nomadic" civs with a prehistoric scenario. Or combining barbarians and goody huts into a third tier of competitors with villages, rudimentary diplomacy/warfare, and tribe names to give them some personality.

If you really want your barbarian fix, I hear At the Gates is pretty good.

Civ 5 had it as the Huns.
To me it would take away playing Civilization as a civilization, so not necessary for me.
